Govt seeks applications for FDB chair

By A Staff Reporter Kathmandu, June 20: The government has sought applications from all interested candidates to be appointed in the vacant post of the chairperson of the Film Development Board (FDB).

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) issued a notice on Sunday, seeking applications for the top post at the FDB. 

The eligible candidate should be aged between 30 and 65 years with a certificate of Bachelor’s Degree.  He or she must have worked for at least 10 years continuously in the establishment, development, preservation and promotion of Nepali film industry. 

However, for those having 20 years work experience, the minimum academic qualification is certificate level. 

The Ministry sought the applications just a few days after Dayaram Dahal completed his two-year term of chairman at the FDB. Dahal was appointed as the chairman of FDB on June 5, 2020.
