Nepali Army's Gorkha-Jitgadhi Unification March commences

Damauli (Tanahu), April 10: The Gorkha–Jitgadhi unification march of the Nepali Army has commenced. The march has started to promote the route taken by King Prithvi Narayan Shah during the national unification campaign which was initiated in 1743.

Battalion Commander of the Nepali Army, Bhadra Dal Battalion, Gaurav Singh Kshetri, told RSS that the purpose of the march is to protect the forts, monuments, and castles along the trail and to educate the public about their history.

The trek started from the historic Gorkha Durbar early morning today. It will conclude after reaching Jitgadhi in Palpa on April 20.

The trek will pass through Satighat in Tanahun – Bhansar – Bhimsen Gadhi – Bangeraha – Sepabagaincha – Tuhurepasal – Tanahunsur – Dhenung Deurali – Keladighat, it is stated. (RSS)
