Four killed in road accident

Tansen (Palpa), March 22: Four people have died in a road accident that took place here on Saturday evening. The accident involving a tipper occurred on the Jhadeva-Rahabas road section in Rahabas, Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-7, when it fell about 50 meters off the road.

The truck was reportedly heading towards Rahabas limestone quarry from Jhadeva.

The deceased have been identified as Chinta Bahadur Sunar, 26, and Sunil BK, 26, of Siddhar, Shitganga Municipality-4, Arghakhanchi, Sunil Nepali, 26, of Khaireni, Devdaha Municipality-2, Rupandehi, and Rajan Chidi, 33, of Patuwa, Tansen Municipality-10, said District Police Office Information Officer Hom Prakash Chaudhary. 

Three died on the spot while Chidi succumbed to his injuries during treatment at Bhairahawa Medical College, Rupandehi.

The District Police Office has stated that further investigation into the accident is underway. (RSS)
