TRN's reporter Pandak honoured

By Our Correspondent,Taplejung, Mar. 13: The Rising Nepal's Taplejung correspondent Chandra Pandak has been honoured with a cash prize. 

Pandak was awarded by Pathibhara Yangwarak Rural Municipality on the occasion of its establishment day after being evaluated as the district’s outstanding journalist. 

He received a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 along with a certificate of honour. During a programme held on Wednesday at the rural municipality’s administrative centre in Thechambu, the municipality honoured and rewarded Pandak and other individuals selected as outstanding in various fields.

Chairperson of the rural municipality, Keshar Kumar Subba, said that journalist Pandak was awarded in recognition of his contribution through journalism in making public service more effective.

Likewise, on the occasion of the ninth establishment day, the rural municipality also honoured outstanding farmers, employees and a teacher within the municipality.

The honoured farmers include Kul Raj Neupane of Ward - 1 Nangkholyang, Tula Ram Bhattarai of Ward - 2 Thechambu, Samjha Limbu of Ward - 3 Tiringe and Ram Kumar Bhandari of Ward - 6 Thumbedin. 

Each honoured farmer received a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and a certificate of honour. 

Among the outstanding employees working under the rural municipality and its subordinate offices, Health Assistant Bikash Pun, Assistant Fourth Level Pipalaman Ganchaki and office helper Sita Devi BK were awarded.

 Likewise, Abhishek Menyangbo was honoured as the outstanding teacher. 

The honoured employees and the teacher received a cash prize of Rs. 15,000 each along with certificates of honour, according to the rural municipality. 

The rural municipality has been celebrating its establishment day every year since local levels were established in 2016 in accordance with the federal structure.
