By A Staff Reporter, Kathmandu, Mar. 10: The shooting of the film Maya Bhanekai Yasto Hola has officially begun.
The film is set to be directed by actress Rekha Thapa.
The film, whose production was announced on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri on February 15, started shooting on Monday from Kathmandu.
Rekha Thapa, who has already directed successful films like Himmatwali and Malika, has returned to direction after nearly eight years.
In this film, a different side of Rekha will be seen, as she will not appear in front of the camera in acting but will focus entirely on direction.
This time, Rekha is working outside her own banner Rekha Films and is collaborating under the banner of Diya and Amu Films.
The film features a large team of artistes, including veterans of the Nepali art field as well as currently popular faces.
Senior actor Madan Krishna Shrestha and actor Dil Shrestha, who is returning to films after a long time, are in the lead roles.
Another major attraction of the film is the presence of three former Miss Nepals. Srishti Shrestha, Namrata Shrestha, and Niti Shah will play key roles in the film.
Earlier, during the official announcement of the film, the production team had released two posters. In both posters, the actors were shown in emotional and romantic appearances.
The film, which will be produced under the banner of Diya and Amu Films, will also feature actors including Laxmi Giri, Bishal Pahadi, Ravi Dangol, Sangam Bhandari, Sujata Shrestha, and Binod Poudel.
Produced by Hari Narayan Shrestha and Maya Devi Shrestha, the film is said to highlight social emotions and surroundings through a sweet love story.
