By TRN Online, Kathmandu, March 3: The number of people leaving the Kathmandu Valley to vote and choose their representatives in their hometowns has increased as the election for the House of Representatives(HoR) approaches.
With the election date drawing near, long queues of people returning to their villages can be seen at major entry and exit points of the federal capital and at bus parks, indicating that the election atmosphere in the country has reached its peak.
A large number of passengers have been observed since early morning at the New Bus Park (Gongabu) and the Kalanki area. In particular, there has been a significant number of travelers heading toward Sudur Paschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Madhesh provinces.
Voters are treating the election as a great festival of democracy, setting aside their busy schedules to return home. Their goal is to cast their votes and elect representatives in their respective villages and communities.
The increasing number of people leaving the capital is seen as a sign of a high voter turnout in the upcoming House of Representatives election.
