Two arrested for attempted loot in Rautahat

 Kathmandu, March 3: The Armed Police Force has apprehended two youths who attempted to commit robbery in Chilmiliya of Gadhimai  Municipality-9 in Rautahat district on Monday night.

According to the Co-Spokesperson of the Armed Police Force (APF) Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shailendra Thapa, those arrested have been identified as 21-year-old Soman Kumar Sahani and 21-year-old Rameshwor Sahani, both residents of the same area.

He stated that among the three individuals involved in the attempted robbery, one person is still at large. 

The suspects were arrested by the striking team of the Armed Police Force Nepal, Election Area Security Base Santpur.

The accused had stopped a motorcycle carrying Dhamendra Rai Yadav and his wife Chanchala Yadav, residents of of Rajdevi Municipality-8 in the same district, and attempted to rob the jewelry worn by Chanchala. 

The two arrested individuals have been handed over to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
