Jhapa, March 1: The newly constructed 'Tapsyadham' at Dhulabari in Mechinagar-10, has become a new destination for spiritual tourism.
The Brahma Kumari Rajyog Service Centre has built a shrine in Lilabasti, one and a half kilometres north from the Dhulabari turning of the East-West Highway, at a cost of Rs 130 million.
An attractive structure has been built on five kaththas of land donated by Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma and his elder brother Raj Prakash Sharma in memory of their late parents Parshuram Sharma and Savitradevi.
According to Anusa Didi, the director of the Dham and head of the Brahma Kumari Rajyog Service Centre Dhulabari, meditation rooms, prayer areas, the memorial of Prajapita Brahma Baba, residential rooms and a seminar hall have been constructed at Tapsyadham.
She said that the site was constructed to provide facilities to domestic and foreign tourists visiting the facility for practicing Rajyoga and meditation and to gain spiritual knowledge.
Anusa Didi, the director of the Dham, stated that since this site will have replicas of important structures present at the international headquarters of the Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India, it is expected to attract spiritual tourists from India and Nepal.
Mount Abu's Rajyogini Usha Didi and Dr Raj Didi, head of Brahma Kumari Rajyoga Sewa Nepal, recently observed the Tapasyadham.
Congress Vice President Sharma said that his family donated the land with the aim of keeping the memory of their parents alive and promoting positive energy in society to foster peace. (RSS)
