Kathmandu, Feb 4: CPN (UML) candidates for the upcoming House of Representatives election have emphasised the implementation of the concept of integrated development in the Kathmandu Valley.
Speaking at the 'Candidate–Journalist Dialogue' programme organised here by the UML Capital Special Province Committee and the Press Chautari Nepal here today, they asserted that they will keep the national interest at the centre.
At the programme, UML leader and candidate from Kathmandu Constituency No 5, Ishwar Pokhrel, expressed the commitment to implement the issues enshrined in the party's election manifesto within a specified timeframe.
He stated that UML has always given importance to the integrated development of the Valley.
Dr Rajan Bhattarai, party secretary and candidate from Kathmandu Constituency No 4, expressed the confidence that voters would exercise their discretion during the election, understanding the country's geopolitical situation and the seriousness of the current context.
Mahesh Basnet, party secretary and candidate from Bhaktapur Constituency No 2, said that the UML stands for development, prosperity, and national interest.
Chairman of the UML Capital Province Committee, Narayan Silwal, asserted that the integrated development of the Valley will be prioritised. (RSS)
