Pakistan Embassy Hosts Art Exhibition and Artist Talk

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 29: The Embassy of Pakistan organized an art exhibition and artist talk entitled “Colours of Pakistan through the Brush of a Nepali Artist”.

The exhibition featured the works of renowned Nepali artist Bidhata KC, inspired by her artistic journey and experiences in Pakistan.

The event was attended by a distinguished gathering of art lovers and practitioners, representatives of civil society, media professionals, social media influencers, and friends and families of the Pakistan Embassy. The presence of a diverse audience reflected the strong interest in cultural exchange and people-to-people connectivity between Pakistan and Nepal, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Pakistan.

During the program held on Wednesday at the Embassy premises, Bidhata KC shared her experiences of participating in the “Artist Residency Program for South Asian Countries” in Pakistan. She spoke at length about her travels across Pakistan and the rich artistic, cultural, and social impressions that inspired her creative expression. Through her artwork, she portrayed Pakistan’s vibrant landscapes, heritage, and cultural diversity. The artist expressed her sincere gratitude to the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistan Embassy in Kathmandu for providing her the opportunity to participate in the residency program. She also warmly appreciated Pakistan’s art and culture, as well as the hospitality extended to her during her stay.

Addressing the audience, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar Hashmi, commended the artist for her exceptional work and creative interpretation of Pakistan through a Nepali lens. He emphasized that cultural diplomacy remains a vital pillar of Pakistan-Nepal relations and reaffirmed the Embassy’s commitment to promoting shared history, culture, and mutual understanding between the two countries.

The attendees also appreciated the efforts of the Pakistan Embassy in organizing the event and lauded the artistic excellence and thoughtful expression demonstrated in Bidhata KC’s works.

On the occasion, it was also announced that the Pakistan Food Festival will be held in Kathmandu from 5 to 7 February 2026, offering another opportunity to celebrate Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage and culinary traditions with the Nepali public.
