Kathmandu, Jan 28: Sample ballot papers to impart voter education for the preparation of election to the House of Representatives scheduled for March 5 have been sent to all districts, according to the Election Commission.
A total of 1,098,200 sample ballot papers were printed and reached to all the districts for voter education, said Joint-Secretary and Spokesperson of the EC, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai. He also added that printing of ballot papers for the first-past-the-post election for Humla, Kalikot, Jumla, Mugu and Dolpa districts has been completed.
Similarly, printing of ballot papers for the remaining districts is underway gradually, according to EC.
Spokesperson Bhattarai opined that they have set a plan to dispatch ballot papers in all 165 constituencies from February 8-17.
However, activities for printing of more than 20 million ballot papers under proportional election have been completed, added EC.(RSS)
