Kathmandu, Jan 21: The Department of Commerce, Supply and Consumers' Protection has fined a firm for violating rules.
The Khilunga Kalika Marketing Pvt located at Suryabinayak-2, Bhaktapur was fined Rs 50,000 after the monitoring found faults in its performance. The action was taken in line with Consumers' Protection Act, 2075. A dozen of other firms were monitored in field by the Department.
They were also directed to improve services. The field monitoring was conducted along with the participation of consumer rights defenders and representatives of local administration. The Department has continued market monitoring and taking action accordingly. (RSS)
