Barahathawa (Sarlahi), Jan 20: Narayan Kaji Shrestha, leader of the Nepali Communist Party and former Deputy Prime Minister, has filed his candidacy from Sarlahi Constituency No. 3.

Leader Shrestha's personal secretary Upadesh Yadav informed Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that leader Surendra Lama proposed Shrestha's candidacy and Bibek Mainali seconded it.

In this constituency, in the 2079 election, CPN-UML's Hari Prasad Upreti was elected, narrowly defeating the Maoist Centre's candidate Narendra Sah by a small margin.

This time again, Hari Prasad Upreti from CPN-UML and Narendra Sah from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have filed their candidacy from this constituency. (RSS)
