Sonam Lhosar a symbol of respect for collective life: Coordinator Prachanda

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 19: Coordinator of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has viewed that Sonam Lhosar is symbol of respect for identity, culture, labour, nature and collective life in addition to being an occasion of New Year.

In his greetings on the occasion of the 2862^nd Sonam Lhosar, former Prime Minister Prachanda expressed best wishes to the Tamang community as they are bidding farewell to the Duk Lho (Snake Year) and entering to Ta Lho (Horse Year).

"Tamang community's Lho tradition, Selo culture, Damphu-Tungana's music and collective festival have been making Nepal's multi-ethnic and multi-cultural character vibrant. This diversity is a strong base of our national unity," said Prachanda in his greeting.

Leader Prachanda said that struggle for social justice, equality, inclusion and rights of oppressed community is continuous. "May Sonam Lhosar make us further firm in the campaign to get united against all forms of discrimination, and for getting prosperity and establishing people's rule."
