KMC Mayor Shah resigns from post
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 18: Mayor of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Balendra Shah (Balen) has resigned from the post.
Mayor Shah submitted his resignation to Deputy Mayor
of the KMC, Sunita Dangol, on his own will. In his resignation letter, Shah
expressed best wishes to the KMC leadership and the executive.
"I have tried to work honestly for the benefit
of the KMC and its residents while in post," said Mayor Shah in the
resignation letter.
Shah was elected to the post with 61,767 votes in
the local polls held in 2022 May.
