Leaders of Deuba led NC faction reaches Election Commission

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 16: Leaders and activists of the Sher Bahadur Deuba led faction of the Nepali Congress (NC) have reached the Election Commission(EC). Leaders and activists of the Deuba faction have reached the EC on Friday morning.

A team of officials from the Nepali Congress Central Committee, district presidents, fraternal organizations, and well-wishers has reached the EC .

Gagan Thapa was elected as the president at the special general convention held from January 11 to January 15. Along with this, Gagan-led NC had asked for official recognition on Thursday.

The NC faction led by President Deuba and the party led by Thapa have filed a petition with the Election Commission, claiming that they are authentic and official.

The commission has stated that it is investigating the petition.
