'I will devote myself for welfare of Gorkhapatra'

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 14: Newly appointed chairman of the Gorkhapatra Corporation (GC) Govinda Prasad Bhandari assumed the office today.

Upon his arrival at the GC, Bhandari was received and welcomed by general manger of the corporation Lal Bahadur Airi and GC employees.

While assuming the office, chairman Bhandari expressed his commitment to devote for overall welfare of the Corporation and enhancement of rights and careers of the journalists and employees working in the GC.

"We will work in a planned manner on ways to make the Gorkhapatra commercial and self-reliant," said chairman Bhandari, "I thank you all for the warm welcome that you offered, now onwards we all will work together for the benefit of the Corporation."

Speaking on the occasion, general manger Airi said that he would work as a friend with the newly appointed chairman as his tenure was for only about two and a half months.

GM Airi expressed confidence that the cooperation between the GM and the chairman will result in enhancement of the corporation as well as the journalists and employees working in the corporation.
