By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 11: Registration of general convention delegates attending the special convention of the Nepali Congress started on Sunday at Bhrikutimandap.
The special convention commenced today under the leadership of the party’s two general secretaries.
On the first day of the two-day special convention held by the pro-special convention group of the party, organisers initiated the registration process through eight separate stalls.
Registration started at 9 am, and by 1:30 pm, 1327 delegates had registered their names, stated Yuwaraj Pandey, coordinator of the District Area Focal Person Coordination Committee of the special convention.
The party arranged one stall for Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, one stall for overseas Public Relations Committees, sister organisations and well-wisher institutions, one stall for Kathmandu Valley districts—Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur—and separate stalls for the remaining five provinces. The Nepali Congress has 4,743 general convention delegates across the country.
Before the inauguration of the special convention, participants took out rallies from six different locations in Kathmandu. The special convention started at Bhrikutimandap.
