'Commercial coffee farming technical training' to coffee producers

Dhulikhel, Jan 10: Farmers involved in coffee farming in Mahabharat Rural Municipality of Kavrepalanchok were provided with 'Commercial Coffee Farming Technology Training'. 

The municipality imparted the training for farmers who have planted over 400 to 500 plants commercially. 

Khim Bahadur Dangi, an agricultural technician at Mahabharat Rural Municipality, said that the purpose of the technology-related training was to enhance the skills of farmers engaged in commercial farming within the municipality. 

A total of 45 farmers were screened from all wards of the municipality for the training. 

During the training, the municipality informed that they provided guidance on topics ranging from planting coffee to sapling care, harvesting methods, drying, and marketing. 

The rural municipality has so far distributed 331,000 coffee saplings. As many as 1,920 families have been involved in coffee farming in the rural municipality. (RSS)
