Kimathanka (Sankhuwasabha), Jan 3: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) and former Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has emphasized that the nation is now centered on elections.

During a press meet held by the Press Centre in Khandbari today, Coordinator Prachanda remarked that with the country’s current focus on elections, the existing government will oversee the polling process.

He also pointed out that political parties have already submitted their closed lists under the proportional representation election system to the Election Commission, signifying that the nation is progressing towards the elections.

"While drafting the constitution through the Constituent Assembly, we committed to reviewing the constitution after 10 years and making amendments based on its merits and demerits," he stated.

Leader Dahal further asserted that in accordance with the spirit of the Gen-Z movement, the current political parties must seek a new mandate from the populace. Additionally, he conveyed that since the election process is already in motion, the parliament should not be reinstated, and the current government should proceed ahead with the elections.(RSS)
