Lalitpur, Jan 3: A total of 313,300 visitors observed the Patan Durbar Museum in 2025.
According to Sureshman Lakhe, Administrative Chief of Patan Durbar Museum, a total of 105,300 foreign tourists including 43,053 tourists from SAARC countries, visited the museum. The remaining included domestic visitors including 40,400 students and 124,550 general public.
The museum had welcomed 318,337 foreign visitors in 2024. Administrative Chief Lakhe informed that the main reasons for the decline in the number of foreign tourists are the Gen-Z Movement and road improvement works in the Patan Durbar square area.
The number of Nepali tourists to the museum is increasing every year. “Although there are fluctuations in the arrival of foreign tourists due to the changing situation in the country, the number of Nepali tourists is continuously increasing,” he said. (RSS)
