Dhorpatan (Baglung), Jan 3: Health materials worth amounting to millions of rupees were aided to 49 health facilities here in order to help ease the health service delivery.
A project namely Sambodhan being operated in partnership between Nepal Gaja Development Foundation and FAIRMED Foundation, has provided health materials to health facilities from the district headquarters to remote areas.
The project has provided health materials and furniture worth Rs 1,126,200.
Monitoring Officer at the project Sujan Paudel stated that health materials and furniture worth Rs 280,395 were provided to three health facilities in Kathekhola, Rs 118,729 to eight health facilities in Nisikhola, Rs 128,718 to five health facilities in Dhorpatan, and Rs 54,127 to four health facilities in Jaimini Municipality.
Similarly, eight health facilities in Badigad Rural Municipality were provided with health materials and furniture worth Rs 132,334, six health facilities in Baglung Municipality with Rs 196,574, two health facilities in Galkot with Rs 46,669, four health facilities in Tarakhola with Rs 65,822, five health facilities in Tamankhola with Rs 59,212, and four health facilities in Bareng Rural Municipality with Rs 43,618.
The project also facilitated the construction of a maternity waiting home. Important materials for patients, including spinal boards, stretchers, wheelchairs, perilight, ENT sets, colour buckets, needle cutters, surgical drums, blood pressure measuring sets, timers, among others, were provided.
