By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Dec. 31: Paleti held in Kathmandu on Friday and Saturday, echoed with composer Aavaas' music.

This edition of Paleti, featuring his musical compositions, was titled ‘Sangat ra Sahakarya’. A total of 15 song compositions by various creators were presented during a two-day musical event.

According to a press release issued by Nepalya, the event began with the solo song ‘Bhui Kuhiro Udna Thalyo’, the first song he ever sang on stage.

The second and third performances featured songs from his first musical album, ‘Palapala.’

After singing his own composition ‘Aansule Yo Man Bahakinchha,’ he performed ‘Jiwanbhar Tithyai Rahyo Malai Jindagile,’ written by poet and lyricist Biplav Pratik. After presenting three of his older songs, he introduced Abhigya Ghimire, a young vocalist involved in Paleti.

Sharing that he initially used to write lyrics for himself, Aavaas said that after collaborating with lyricists Biplav Pratik and Shrawan Mukarung, he gradually became attracted to the words of other songwriters as well.

In the fourth performance, Abhigya sang ‘Hajur Hajur Ma Po Hajurko,’ ‘Kurnu Kurisakepachhi Parbatle Jun Payo’ and ‘Jindagiko Mausam Rahdai Khan Khan Dilko Khet’.

Among the new songs, he first presented ‘Kahile Gham Kahile Pani, Jindagani’ written by Kumar Nagarkoti.

Instrumental support for this Paleti was provided by Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard, Sundar Kumar Maharjan and Milesh Tandukar on rhythm section, Milan Ghimire on flute, Kripesh Lohani on bass guitar, and Prabin Pulami Magar on rhythm guitar.

Paleti, presented on the last Friday and Saturday of every English month, will feature a poetic performance by poet and writer Bhushita Vashishta in the coming month.
