By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 30: Nari Srijana Samaj Nepal organised and successfully concluded discussion on short stories with Mamata Mridul – Chapter Five. The programme took place at Sarwanam Theatre, where participants held an in-depth discussion on the short stories of Ashesh Malla.
Tulsi Hari Koirala, President of short stories Society Nepal, attended the event as the chief guest. Bidhān Acharya, Indraratna Bajracharya and Bhagirathi Shrestha joined the programme as special guests. The discussion centered on the short stories written by Ashesh Malla.
Lalita Doshi, Ranjoo Khanal, Nisha Keshi, Ranjana Parajuli Lamsal, Mandira Madhushree, Deepa Chaudhary, Sesemi Limbu, Binod Nepal, Dhanwantari Mishra Katyayan, Ramkumar Pandit, Gom Bikram, Raj Shaha, Dhruvaraj Thapa and Roshan Parajuli presented readings of Ashesh Malla’s short stories.
Special guest Bidhān Acharya spoke about short stories of the 2030s and its development through the 2050s, comprising its present condition.
Prof Dr. Sabitri Kakshyapati spoke on various dimensions of Nepali language and literature.
Bhagirathi Shrestha shared her views on short stories, while Indraratna Bajracharya presented about Ashesh Malla and his literary contributions.
Ramendra Koirala delivered the congratulatory remarks.
Chief guest, Tulsi Hari Koirala spoke about the history of short stories, and its present state.
Mamata Mridul conducted discussion on short stories with Mamata Mridul programme.
During the event, participants read twelve short-stories, and the short-stories Manchhe and Kalorang (human and black colour) appeared on stage under the direction of Raj Shaha.
At the conclusion of discussion on short stories with Mamata Mridul – Chapter Five, Nari Srijana Samaj President Mamata Mridul and the organization’s Secretary Ranjana Parajuli honoured everyone who contributed to the programme.
