Patience, dedication essential in politics: General Secretary Pokhrel

Ranjha (Banke), Dec 26: CPN (UML) General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel has said patience and dedication in politics are imperative to preclude unfortunate incidents.

During the inauguration of the 12th General Convention of Rastriya Banijya Bank Employees; Union of Nepal in Nepalgunj on Friday, General Secretary reminded, "Perseverance counts in politics, while haste result in flaws."     

Leader Pokhrel suggested the young generation that they prioritized facts and truth and kept at bay emotional information so as to evaluate circumstances well and pursue social change in an informed manner. He stressed the importance of youth engagement in politics, asserting that a new generation equipped with relevant knowledge can help navigate national problems effectively.     

The UML is not merely a party that claims to represent youth but it is the one actively involving them in political processes, he reminded, adding that one-thirds of the newly elected members from 11th National Congress are youths.     

He called on employee leaders from Rastriya Banijya Bank to engage in nation-building efforts in the future through entrepreneurship.     

The general convention of the bank employees is attended by 800 delegates from across the nation. The event is to elect a new leadership.(RSS)
