Health Minister visits Singha Durbar Ayurvedic Clinic

Kathmandu, Dec 26: Minister for Health and Population Dr. Sudha Gautam carried out a monitoring and inspection of the Singha Durbar Ayurvedic Clinic (Vaidyakhana) Development Committee's office situated in Anamnagar today.     

On the occasion, she reaffirmed the Ministry's dedication to offering essential support to the committee for the production of Ayurvedic medicines. Minister Dr. Gautam stressed the need for increased promotion, noting that the Ayurvedic medicines and nutritional supplements produced by the clinic have not received sufficient visibility.     

She pointed out that it is crucial for the government to transform people's lifestyles through citizen health centres. She also underscored the importance of ensuring the quality of Ayurvedic medicines produced by the committee.     

During the event, Dr. Pradeep KC, the Executive Director of the committee, reported that the committee is currently producing 94 different types of medicines.     

Dr. Shyambabu Yadav, Acting Director General of the Department of Ayurveda and Alternative Medicine, was also present during the monitoring.(RSS)
