Pathari (Morang), Dec 24: The Intra Pathari-11 has won the second Satisa Gold Cup open knockout football tournament.
In the final match held here Satisa Sporting Club football ground on Tuesday, Intra Pathari-11 defeated Betana United Football Club, Belbari by 4-2 goals in a tiebreaker to clinch the title. Along with gold cup, Intra Pathari-11 also won a cash prize of Rs 202,222 while runner-up Betana United had to settle for Rs 101,111.
The match was decided in a tiebreaker after the match ended in a goalless draw in the scheduled time. Vivek Poudel of Betana club was declared the Man of the Match while and goalkeeper Samir Chhetri was adjudged the Best Player of the tournament.
ANFA central member Dipendra Dhimal, Morang District Football Association president Sanjeev Budhathoki, Kerabari Rural Municipality Chair Suman Magar and other guests presented awards to the winning and runner-up teams.
The Gold Cup was organized by Satisale Sporting Club based in Kerabari-6 Morang.(RSS)
