By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 23: Minister for
Communication and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel has viewed that there
is no option to holding election of the members of the House of Representatives
(HoR) as scheduled for March 5.

Minister Kharel was at the NC party office to
inspect it on behalf of the political consultation committee formed by the
government.
As the government was formed on the strength of the
Gen Z movement and that it was mandated to hold the HoR election on March 5,
there is no alternative to the election, according to Minister Kharel.
The Minister said the political consultation
committee would also hold separate discussions with the political parties while
the government has been holding all party meeting with all stakeholders
including the political parties.
He said the consultation committee was formed to
facilitate discussions with the parties and that their visit to inspect the
damage caused in the parties' office during the movement was a part of their
task.
Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs
Anil Kumar Sinha, Chief Advisor to Prime Minister Sushila Karki, Ajay Bhadra
Khanal, are the other members in the 3-member consultation team. The committee
is under the coordination of Minister Sinha.
On the occasion, Minister Sinha made it a point that
there is no alternative to election at this adverse situation and that it would
be inappropriate to delay in holding poll.
He assured of full assistance to the political parties as required from the government.
