CAN Federation honours Dr Giri

Kathmandu, Dec 23: The Federation of Computer Association Nepal (CAN Federation) has felicitated Dr Shailendra Giri for his significant contributions to the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.  

Dr Giri, the former central committee member of the CAN Federation, was honoured on Monday on the occasion of the Hi-Tech CAN B2B Summit 2025 and the 32nd general meeting of the organization. 

The CAN Federation stated that Dr Giri was recognized for his leadership quality and academic excellence, as well as his role played to the development of the country's ICT sector.   

Dr Giri is a researcher and ICT innovator, and has also made contributions to the public administration. 

After receiving the honour, Dr Giri pledged to remain proactive for knowledge production, innovation and growth of the ICT sector, adding that partnership of the state, private sector and academic institutions was needed to attract members of the new generation into research and technology. (RSS)
