Kathmandu, Dec 11: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said government forwarded a cleanup drive against corruption.
PM Karki said it while receiving a memorandum from the Jay Matribhumi Party on Thursday. "Only delivering speech by the political parties is not good but their concentration in production," she said, urging the Party to go to polls and work for people.
She expressed concern why the political parties failed to work for creating employment rather that preaching. The national economy could not make improve for lack of jobs, PM Karki said, adding that it had also contributed to youth exodus. Time has come to minimize public disenchantment, PM reminded.
The Head of Government further urged the delegation to come with economic prosperity and good governance schemes through the victory in the upcoming election scheduled for March 5. "Good governance initiatives from people of various sectors make change," she viewed.
Leaders of Jay Matribhumi Party- captain KB Limbu, Ramsharan Pande, Govinda Giri and others- demanded stringent action against those suppressing the September 8-9 Gen Z movement and indulging in corruption. (RSS)
