By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Dec 11: Minister for Communication and Technology Jagadish Kharel said that there is a significant role of book Jatra to make an educated Nepal and to develop the reading culture.
Addressing the inaugurating ceremony of the 7th edition of Book Jatra organized here today, Minister Kharel stressed that there is a need to increase access to education for all to develop an educated nation.
He mentioned that all the stakeholders need to be vigilant to ensure the quality of education for all children.
Minister Kharel said, "There is nothing greater than education; it is the torch to evade the darkness. Let's pray that those children still deprived of education get to go to school and receive a quality education."
He stated that the government is committed to conducting elections on time and to maintain good governance and curb corruption in line with the spirit of the Gen Z protest.
Communication Minister said," We are in the government at a very sensitive time. We shoulder the responsibility and obligation of taking the nation into a road of change."
Director of the Book Jatra, Rishiraj Adhikari, said that the 'Book Jatra' has been conducted with an aim of invoking awareness regarding education among the public while developing the reading culture.
