By Abinash Chaudhary, Kathmandu, Dec 7: Security alertness has been ramped up in India-Nepal border of the Kailali district.
The security vigilance in the border area has been intensified as a preemptive security measure in the view of the election of the House of Representatives (HoR) to be held on March 5.
The district administration office said that security checking has been tightened by security agency to ensure the suspicious, unidentified persons or group do not enter the country illegitimately.
Information officer of district administration office. Shiv Raj Joshi. informed that the security checking has been beefed up in view of the upcoming election and other security sensitivity.
He also shared that security has been heightened in the Indian side also.
The administration has appealed to all to inform the nearest security agency if unidentified, suspicious persons or group are seen in the district.
The administration has urged residents of the district to not allow unidentified person without identity, suspicious person or group and community to reside or work at their homes.
