Road Division Office, Hetauda, ​​started road expansion on Saturday morning.

Work is underway to demolish encroached permanent and temporary structures within 25/25 yards on both sides of the highway.

The division office has demolished houses in the Buddha Chowk to Sumargi Complex area using about 8 dozers and excavators.

The Road Division Office, Hetauda, ​​under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport, issued a public notice on November 20, giving a 15-day ultimatum to remove the permanent and temporary houses and huts built within 25/25 yards from the center line of the Mahendra Highway and Tribhuvan Highway within the Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City area. 

Along with this, work is also underway to demolish encroached houses and huts in the Buddha Chowk to Chaukitol area.
