11 students from Kalika School secure full scholarships for MBBS

By Our Correspondent,Butwal, Dec. 3: Eleven students from Kalika Manavgyan Secondary School in Butwal have successfully secured full scholarships for the MBBS programme this year.  

The school’s principal, Dinesh Thapa, announced that the 11 students, who had passed their Class 12 exams, were able to secure spots in the MBBS programme on full scholarships this year.

According to the school, 42 students in total have been successful in securing government-provided scholarships for various undergraduate programmes. 

These scholarships include MBBS, Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT), and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS).

Principal Thapa informed that 11 students have received scholarships for MBBS, 23 for B. Pharm, two for BSc Nursing, two for BBS, one each for BIT and BBA. 

He informed that such excellent results are the outcome of shared cooperation between teachers, students, and parents.

Kalika Manavgyan Secondary School is one of the largest schools in the country, with over 8,000 students enrolled.

Additionally, students who have benefited from the free scholarships provided by the Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City have expressed that the scholarships have motivated them to continue their studies.

Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City Mayor, Khelraj Pandey, highlighted the transparency in the scholarship distribution process. 

He explained that the aim is to ensure that no student in Butwal is deprived of education due to a lack of funds, especially through private institutions offering 10 per cent scholarships.

Deputy Mayor of Butwal, Sabitra Devi Aryal, mentioned that the quality of education in Butwal’s institutions was attracting students from outside districts. 

Yadavchandra Bista, an official from the Education Branch of Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City, informed that last year, 339 students from 13 private educational institutions under Butwal Sub-Metropolitan City received scholarships to pursue higher education.
