'Phalgunnada: Philosopher who shaped practical policy for society'

Biratnagar, Nov.11: Koshi Province Chief Parshuram Khapung said that Phalgunanda Lingden,  leader of the Kirat religion for the Kirat people, is considered a great religious and social reformer and a philosopher who formulated practical policies and rules for society. He said so on the occasion of  Phalgunanda, which is being celebrated among Kirati people today. 

The birth anniversary of national icon Phalgunanda Lingde is celebrated every year on Kartik 25 in the Nepali calendar (November 11, 2025 this year ) in appreciation of his role in social reform.

"Phalgunanda, who spread social awareness, is considered a great religious and social reformer and a philosopher who formulated practical policies and rules for society. In particular, Phalgunanda Lingden raised his voice against the distortions and anomalies in Limbu society," said Province Chief. 

Provincial Chief Khapung said, "He had prepared the 'Satya Dharma Muchulka (report)' by holding a large gathering for social reform. Today, millions of followers are taking it as a guide."
