By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Nov 2: Eight political parties including CPN (Maoist Center) and CPN (Unified Socialist) have signed an agreement to get unified into a single political party.
The name of the new party to formed following their
merger is yet to decided, according to the unity pact made available.
The parties will hold a unity conference on November
5.
The new party will have one coordinator and another as joint coordinator and that the new party will hold general convention within six months.

The unity
pact reads that the new party will have a five-pronged star or pentagram as its
election symbol.
The unity pact is signed by leaders of eight parties including CPN (Maoist Center) coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda’ and CPN (Unified Socialist) chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal. Leaders of Nepal Socialist Party, CPN (Socialist), Socialist Party Nepal, CPN (Maoist-Socialist), CPN (Chiran Pun group) and CPN (Communist) have also signed the unity pact.
