One dead, 13 injured in Tanahu bus accident

By Amar Raj Naharki, Tanahu, Oct 28: A person has died while 13 others sustained injuries when a passenger bus collided against a vehicle that was stopped at Eklephant in Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-2.

The micro bus with registration number Ba. Pra. 03-001 Ja 0937 was heading to Lamjung from Chitwan when its driver lost the control of the vehicle which then hit the road wall and then a standstill vehicle of Nepal Electricity Authority.

There were 14 people including the driver in the bus.

Shravan Kumar BK, information officer and DSP at the Tanahu District Police Office, informed that Budhmaya Tamang, 55, of Lamjung died while under treatment after being seriously injured in the accident.

According to DSP BK, 13 others sustained injuries including 42 years old driver Ishwar Kumar Shrestha. All the injured were sent for treatment at Damauli and Aanbukhaireni hospitals.
