Govt. working to make elections a success

Kathmandu, Oct 27: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel has said that the government was working with a firm commitment to make the House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5, 2026 a success.

At a Chhath Pooja programme at Bojepokhari of Imadol in Lalitpur on Monday, Minister Kharel said the government will leave no stone unturned to conduct polls, curb corruption and maintain good governance in the country.

Minister Kharel said, "The incumbent government is working to conduct polls, maintain good governance by curbing corruption and advance the processes to take actions after the investigations of damages and loss of lives happened in the Gen-Z protests."

On the occasion, Minister Kharel stated that the Chhath festival is the festival of national pride and humility of all Nepalis. "This festival is also a symbol of purity," Minister Kharel added.

Paying homage to Chhati Mata, Minister Kharel wished for happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepalis on the occasion of this festival.

Likewise, Minister Kharel performed Pooja to Chhati Mata attending the Chhath celebrations at Bojepokhari (pond) this evening.

Deputy Mayor of Mahalaxmi Municipality Laxmi Maharjan, representatives of Chhath Pooja Management Society and local residents received the minister at the Bojepokhari area. (RSS)
