One killed in road accident

Gulmi, Oct 26: One person has died in a road accident that took place in Kachurkharka of Madane Rural Municipality-1 last night. The deceased has been identified as Meghraj Pun, 19, assistant to his driver and hailing from Aglung in the same locality, shared Ganga Bahadur Saru, Information Officer of the District Police Office.

The accident reportedly took place when a tractor (Ra.1Ta. 3502) loaded with sand failed to take the uphill slope while the brakes also failed. The tractor was coming towards the ward office from Aglung, Madane Rural Municipality-1,

Seriously injured after jumping off the tractor, Pun, died on the spot, according to the police. The tractor driver, 22-year-old Niman Chand, a resident of Madane-1, Aglung, has been taken into custody by the police and further investigation into the incident is underway, the District Police Office has said.(RSS)
