One dead in Darchula jeep accident

By Lokendra Prasad Joshi, Darchula, Oct 24: A person has died in a jeep accident at Danikhet in Marma Rural Municipality-3 of Darchula district this morning.

The jeep with registration number Su Pa Pra 01 001 Ja 1662 was en route to Latinath from Sarsi when it veered some 200 meters of the road, according to the police.

Dhirendra Dhami, Chairman of the Marma Rural Municipality-3 shared that the owner of the jeep, 34-year-old Karabir Singh Thagunna, was found unconscious stuck in between seats inside the jeep and rescued and then sent to health post.

The locals informed that the jeep owner Thagunna died.

The police said it was yet to be known as to who was driving the jeep and how the accident occurred.

Janga Bahadur Chand, assistant police inspector at Area Police Office, Latinath, said that search for the driver was going on and the cause of the accident was yet to be found because it was yet to be found out as to who was driving the jeep.
