Kathmandu, Oct 20: Chairperson of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal has voiced his optimism that the Tihar festival of 2082 will promote mutual harmony, tolerance, and robust national unity.
In a congratulatory message issued today, he conveyed his conviction that Tihar will enhance family gatherings and foster social and cultural cohesion, as well as national unity.
"Nepal is a diverse nation, rich in multi-ethnic, multilingual, and multicultural attributes, along with its indigenous festivals, natural resources, and civilizations. The federal democratic republic, which was established through the sacrifices and struggles of the Nepali people, has fortified internal nationality and acknowledged the historical cultural festivals of various ethnicities, religions, and communities as national celebrations,"
Chairman Dahal remarked. "These varied rituals, cultures, and festivals are not just the shared heritage of our nation but also serve as vital foundations that unite the people culturally and emotionally. (RSS)
