Kathmandu, Oct 19: Chairman of the CPN UML, KP Sharma Oli, has demanded a fair investigation of the property belonging to those including himself if amassment of property was suspected.
During his discussion with media editors organized by Press Chautari Nepal in the federal capital on Sunday, Chairman Oli argued he had not involved in corruption. He had not taken even a penny as a bribe, but worked firmly for good governance. "I'm ready to cooperate for the investigation of my property," he added.
Chairman Oli reminded that the Gen-Z protest launched against corruption and social media ban was infiltrated that resulted in loss of huge life and property.
"I want establishment of truth rather than impulse and aggression. I'm for decent and dignified life of every citizen. My loyalty is for country and people where prosperity, equality and peace prevail," Chairman Oli reiterated in the press meet.
Moreover, he defended that he was not speaking arrogantly but for truth, from which he never deviated. The former Prime Minister believed that reality behind the protest would gradually divulge. However, UML will continue its efforts for peace, justice and democracy.
Oli further said his party was against dissolution of the House of Representatives, so it must be restored.
Editors from dozens of media had put forth queries on Gen-Z protest of September 8, devastation of September 9, security situation and collaboration, party policy, formation of new government after his resignation, election and party's preparation, and leadership issues, among other.(RSS)
