NC expresses sorrow over demise of its Surkhet district former president Malla

Kathmandu, Oct 9: The Nepali Congress (NC) has expressed deep sorrow over the demise Govinda Bahadur Malla, the party's Surkhet district committee former president. 

The Party Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel, in a condolence message today, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the party's Surkhet district committee former president and the District Development Committee former president. Malla was 78. 

The NC has stated that the late Malla, having held various positions within the party, actively contributed to the organisation of the Nepali Congress and played an active role in Nepal's democratic movement.

The party has stated that it has lost a senior and experienced leader in Malla's demise. The President of the Nepali Congress and the leader of the parliamentary party, former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has also expressed profound sorrow over Malla's death.

Deuba, on behalf of the party and on his own, expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family, wishing for eternal peace to the departed soul. (RSS)
