Charikot-Khadichaur roadway serving as an alternative

Manthali (Ramechhap), Oct 9 : With the BP Highway remaining blocked for traffic due to damaged triggred by incessant rains on October 3 and 4, people travelling to and from various parts of the Terai and eastern districts have started using alternative routes. 

And Dolalghat via Khurkot-Manthali-Charikot-Mude-Khadichour is also being used as one of the alternative roadway.

To smoothen traffic movement, the traffic police has been operating one-way traffic from Devkota Chowk in Manthali to exit the police office and bus park to Kathmandu, and the vehicles coming from there have been operating one-way traffic from the bus park to exit Devkota Chowk via Kataharbot Chowk.

Kaushal Neupane, Information Officer at the District Police Office, said that vehicles travelling from various parts of the Terai to most districts of the eastern Koshi Province and Kathmandu via the BP Highway are using this road as an alternative route. He said that they are continuously working to facilitate the passengers returning to their respective workplace after celebrating Dashain in their village homes.(RSS)
