Kathmandu, Oct 8: The government has appealed to the general public to make the March 5 polls a success by maintaining law and order in the country.
Issuing a press release today, the Ministry of Home Affairs has asked the citizens to put their views and organize their protest programmes in a peaceful manner.
The Ministry has stated that the government was always positive to address the issues, concerns and demands of the citizens through serious talks and discussions adding that the Ministry urges to seek solution of the issues through talks prior to convening any protests and rallies.
In the press statement, Ministry's Spokesperson and Joint Secretary Ananda Kafle stated that the government was making efforts to create favorable environment for holding elections on March 5 and ensure a robust law and order situation in the wake of the formation of new government.
The Ministry has also stated that it was the responsibility of all stakeholders and general public to help conduct the polls in slated time. (RSS)
