Nepal wins fourth match under Women's T20I Series

Kathmandu, Oct 7: Nepal has won the fourth match of the Women's Twenty20 International Series.

Nepal defeated Malaysia by six wickets in today's match held in Malaysia. Nepal's victory today has levelled the five-match series 2-2 against Malaysia. 

Earlier, in the first match, Nepal lost to Malaysia by three runs and won the second against Malaysia by six wickets in the second match. Similarly, Nepal was defeated by Malaysia by 13 runs in the third match.

Chasing the 112-run victory target posted by Malaysia in today's match, Nepal met the target in 17.3 overs at the loss of four wickets.  

For Nepal, Captain Indu Barma collected 48 runs (not out) in 39 balls while Rubina Chhetri 23 runs in 23 balls.

Malaysia's Nur Dania Syuhada and Mahira Izzati and Ainna Hamizah took one wicket each. 

Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Malaysia scored 111 runs in 20 overs losing five wickets.  Mas Elysa gathered 36 runs (not out), Mahira 18 runs and Nur Dania 15 runs. 

Nepal's Kabita Kunwar took three wickets while Puja Mahato and Kabita Joshi one wicket each. The final match of the series will be held on Wednesday.(RSS)
