EC approves HoR election schedule

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Oct 6: Election Commission, Nepal, has approved the schedule of the election to the House of Representatives (HoR) slated for March 5, 2026.

According to the schedule, political parties will have to get registered for the poll from November 16 to 26 and if a new political party wants to take part in it, it should get registration of political party by November 15.

Political parties will be allowed to carry out their election publicity campaign for a period of 15 days, February 15 to March 2, 2026. Parties will have to submit their closed list for proportional election on January 2 and 3, 2026, according to the press release issued by the EC today.

The election will be held from 7 am to 5 pm on March 5, 2026.
