Dry landslide blocks Beni-Jomsom road

Mustang, Sept 14: The national pride project road (Beni-Jomsom) connecting the north-south has been blocked since this morning due to a dry landslide. 

The supervisor of the Beni-Jomsom road, Indra Singh Sherchan, informed that the road was completely blocked when dry landslide occurred above the road last night at Kavrebhir in Thasang Rural Municipality-4, which lies on the border of Myagdi and Mustang.

Supervisor Sherchan stated that about 50 meters of the road at Kabhrebhir was damaged due to a dry landslide caused on the road track. Deputy Superintendent of Police Chiring Kippa Lama from the Mustang District Police Office mentioned that the road at Kabhrebhir on the Beni-Jomsom route was blocked due to a dry landslide containing large rocks. 

He added that work is currently underway to remove the landslide with the help of a dozor. (RSS)
