blog

Galkot (Baglung), Sept 14: A family has been displaced after a landslide in Sigana, Baglung Municipality-8.

The landslide that occurred from above the house of Ram Bahadur Khadka in Pakhabari, Sigana, has partially damaged the house and buried their cow shed.

As a result, the family was forced to abandon their house to a safer location, said Ward Chair of Baglung-8, Chham Bahadur Karki. The landslide including rocks was reportedly triggered by road expansion work taking place in the area.

The landslide has also damaged the main transformer used to supply power in and around Sigana.(RSS)
