UML to join hands with pro-constitution forces

Kathmandu, Sept 13: The CPN (UML) has urged likeminded political forces to collaborate in defense of the constitution and the federal democratic republic system.     

Issuing a press statement today, UML general secretary Shankar Pokhrel has pointed out the need for continued dialogue, understanding and collaboration to safeguard the nation’s constitution, democratic republic and the other achievements of the people’s movements amid the unusual political situation emerged in the country.     

General Secretary Pokhrel stated that Nepal has entered in the new stage of politics after the appointment of Sushila Karki as the Prime Minister and the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) from the President on the recommendation of the PM and added that the UML was serious to the recent political developments.     

The UML has also asked to bring the perpetrators under the legal system after a fair investigation of the protests happened on September 8 and 9.(RSS)
